An Overview of Brazilian Research on IoT Security
Victor Takashi Hayashi, Felipe Valencia de Almeida · Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research) · 2022
Internet of Things (IoT) security is still an open research problem. The heterogeneity of devices, languages and protocols creates a large attack surface, and the processing, memory and bandwidth limitations of embedded devices limit the use of traditional security mechanisms. In this paper, a review of the literature on IoT security based on SBSeg, SBRT and SBRC Brazilian events is presented, highlighting vulnerabilities and attacks that motivate research, the contributions of Brazilian research, and identification of research gaps to foster an agenda for future work.
