Robotics and Software Engineering are two important disciplines within Computer Science that are not separated. The robot competition workshop aims to motivate students to apply their knowledge in engineering and management to develop a project consisting of a robot's assembly and programming. The workshop uses a low-cost robot that should be programmed following the guidelines of the ISO/IEC 29110 standard, a set of established rules, limited resources, and time. The results obtained with the execution of the workshop highlighted the awareness achieved by students regarding the application of good management and engineering practices, as well as the importance of teamwork for the development of projects.
