Cloud computing is an emerging technology for networking and virtual database extension, which is being adopted by several enterprises widely. Nowadays, every single enterprise is mitigating toward virtualization immensely. Several cloud services provide a great range of computer infrastructure tools and technology. Thus, implementing a cloud-oriented environment in industry is very challenging and requires skills to manage its pitfalls. So cloud implementation also brings several challenges, security risks, and threats for data security. Several data security threats in the cloud are very risky and not at all easy to identify, such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, flooding, data breaching, man-in-the-middle attack, and so on. Therefore, this proposed chapter critically analyzed several risks and issues of data security in a cloud environment, and also analyzed some preventive measures to overcome that as well. This chapter provides a taxonomical solution for data security issues in cloud environments, i.e., steganography can be used for data security in cloud environments. Thus, this chapter provides a complete survey of cloud security risk and its solution for managing the risk effectively.
