Online classes are becoming more popular, and there are a variety of ways for students to access them. However, it has been shown that digital material needs to be better protected. Network-based online classrooms have been the subject of current study, with an emphasis on security and performance improvement. Network environment studies have been conducted in order to give online classes. This research has integrated DES mechanism to Huffman based compression mechanism in order to increase the security and performance. Security has been maintained by DES mechanism whereas Huffman code is working as compression mechanism to reduce the content size. In this way proposed work has improved both security and performance by providing hybrid security mechanism. Data security and performance have been the focus of prior studies. Educational information has to be transferred from one location to another in a more efficient and secure manner. It was imperative that the instructional information be protected and compressed during data transmission. Research has found a way to lower the size of a packet by using a content substitution approach. Due to the time-consuming nature of existing encryption methods, “DES with lossless compression mechanism” has been used to strengthen the security of the proposed task. Encryption & Compression are used on sender side to ensure that data is both fast & secure. On the receiving end, the data is decompressed & decrypted. The suggested system performs better since the amount of data being sent is less, which reduces the risk of packets being dropped. Due to the compression of information, transmission errors are decreased. Even after compression, encryption reduces the chances of a hacker gaining access to the data.
