Low-Complexity High-Performance Method for Calculating Arbitrary Logarithm Function

Logarithms are widely used in signal processing and other fields. In this paper, a hardware-friendly logarithm implementation method based on piecewise linear and the constant multiplier is proposed. Compared with other methods, it has a wider calculation range and stronger scalability. Our method maximizes functionality while minimizing resources. Also, it has the characteristics of low complexity and high precision.
