Towards Blockchain Models in Disaster Management
Polinpapilinho Freeman Katina, Adrian V. Gheorghe · 2023
Evoking modeling and simulation draws attention to physical experimentation in which computers are used to calculate the results of some physical phenomenon. The physical phenomenon, including disaster management, can be modeled using a computer and mathematical model containing all the parameters of the phenomenon. This approach is efficient as it voids a need for actual physical experimentation, which can be costly and time-consuming, as in disaster management. This chapter provides the details of the methodology for the blockchain-enabled model for disaster supply management, including research design, the structure of the model, and the framework for implementation. The chapter includes indexes used in the model and explains how blockchain technology can be used with IoT to address present challenges in disaster management.
