Investigation of single-layer flat and spherical coil parameters for use in biomedical sensors

Currently, technological solutions aimed at the real-time monitoring of the human organism are in high demand. These solutions can be based on different technologies, including sensors that are based on spiral coils. Be it single-layer flat or spherical coils, both can detect changes in the magnetic field caused by physiological processes taking place in an organism. Therefore, studying the exact characteristics of said coils is essential to correctly interpret the nuances of the measured signal depending on the coil type and size. In this study, we investigated the field characteristics of multiple different spherical and single-layer flat coils and compared them with each other.
