This study proposes a small-scale system consisting of four microphones to suppress multiple noises in the same direction. A virtual focus is formed by moving the microphones virtually on an arc centered on a target sound, and the sounds behind the focus are collectively attenuated by instantaneous spectrum subtraction. The value of subtraction is calculated based on a two-dimensional spectrum of outputs from the virtually focused array for every temporal segment consisting of 2048 points. The results of the computer simulation experiments show that approximately 15 dB of suppression is achieved for the three noise sources.
