Abstract While some despair of the dystopia that technology will unleash, others believe that technology will finally provide time to pay attention to things that matter. In the Age of Destruction and Distraction, the new vision of corporate leaders with external and internal sensibilities will function as a kind of yogi and represent hope for the future of humanity. This ‘yogi’ at work is a warrior-monk, unafraid to take on new risks and unyielding in the face of continuous disruption. These leaders are interested in honing the superpower of staying focused at work for long periods without getting distracted. In these leaders is a heightened sensitivity able to connect to the work and the ecosystem of colleagues to provide purpose and energy. The ‘corporate yogi’ may be the future of human work.
