The Law, Logic Gates, and Logic Circuits

Logic gate and logic circuit designs can be used to create rules, policies, and laws and to assess behaviors according to those rules, policies, and laws. Like truth tables, Venn diagrams, and flowcharts, logic gate and logic circuit designs utilize Boolean algebra to assess truth. Logic gate and logic circuit designs are worth understanding because they combine aspects of truth tables, Venn diagrams, and flowcharts. First, logic gate and logic circuit designs are like truth tables because they all utilize logical operators. Second, logic gate and logic circuit designs are like Venn diagrams because they all provide graphical representations of the information. Finally, logic gate and logic circuit designs are like flowcharts because they all follow a sequence of events to arrive at an outcome. The validity of a logic gate or logic circuit design and the legality of a person’s actions can be assessed by supplying appropriate binary values as input variables. In other words, logic gate and logic circuit designs can indicate which combinations of input variables, based on whether each input variable is true or false, will result in a violation of rule, policy, or law.
