Hybrid software process model: V-SCRUM
Tasneem Mustafa Ghnaimat, Amjad A. Hudaib · 2022
Each project has its own features. Therefore, one cannot apply one process model for all project kinds. Software engineers and experts still deal with the process model’s limitations by adjusting the software lifecycle. Most organizations have their own best practices for different software models. This paper proposes V-SCRUM, a hybrid software model combining the advantages of V-model and Scrum methodologies. The proposed model’s applicability is validated through an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) case study, widely used in producing software that helps business managers in decision support and enhancing business processes. The findings clearly show the proposed model’s effectiveness with high user satisfaction and on-time delivery of the ERP functionalities.
