A new secure architecture for the access control of resources in IoT networks
Sami Mnasri · 2022
A full connectivity in IoT networks indicates that all the objects can receive and transmit data. The number and heterogeneity of these objects are continuously increasing, the same for the related potential threats. Given the limited capacities of IoT devices preventing them from using complex encryption algorithms, an efficient and secure system for managing the ressources on the network is necessary to handle the incidents of violating the privacy and security. In this paper, the aim is to propose a novel access architecture to control the behavior of IoT objects based on attributes and trust concepts to ensure the security of network resources and users. To evaluate the performance of the introduced system, a set of simulation scenarios are implemented using omnetpp. The obtained results indicate the performance of the introduced architecture in terms of numerous metrics such as the power consumption and the latency in the network.
