Intelligent surveillance system (Iss) using hardware software co-design

G. Sasikala, Sarbari Dutta, V. Mahalakshmi · AIP conference proceedings · 2022

In the recent years ISS has received growing attention in the market due to the rise in the demand of safety and security. The demand of ISS is increasing due to its ability to automatically analyze images, videos, audios or any other types of raw data without or with very less human involvement. The developments of sensory devices, machine learning and computer vision in the recent years have an important role in enabling such intelligent systems for surveillance. The proposed one has to develop an embedded surveillance system for video analysis from image processing and feature extraction, to midlevel event detection to high-level image processing, reasoning and scene understanding with hardware-software co-design and discuss some possible sensor modalities and their fusion with visible cameras, infrared camera, thermal camera etc.
