Boson Sampling and Linear Optical Circuits
Nobuyuki Matsuda · The Review of Laser Engineering · 2020
Boson sampling is a non-universal quantum computation model where single photons in a linear optical circuit naturally perform a computational task that is believed to be difficult to solve classically. In this review, we introduce the foundation of the boson sampling along with a simple example. Further, we present our universal linear optical circuit as an example of the required device for boson sampling.
