Energy Consumption Comparison of Some WSN OOK Transmitters Through Minimum Energy Coding

Nükhet Sazak · 2022

Energy efficiency is one of the most important criteria for wireless sensor networks since they consist of energy constrained sensor nodes. Minimum Energy coding (ME-Coding) is proposed to improve the energy efficiency of On-Off Keying (OOK) transmitter in the literature. In this study, the four single ended OOK transmitters are compared in terms of total energy consumption. The results show that the 433 MHz OOK transmitter is the least energy consuming among of them.
