Low-Complexity Proportional Resource Allocation in Joint CommRadar System

The joint CommRadar system can make good use of spectrum resources, compared with deploying the two systems alone. We introduce the orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) into the joint CommRadar system, through which users can share frequency band resources. This paper studies the problem of maximizing the sum of user data rates through the basic allocation of subcarriers and power, taking into account the limitations of the total system power, radar detection performance and the ratio between user data rates. Simulation results verify the feasibility of the proposed algorithm and achieves higher user data rates while significantly reducing the computational complexity.
