Piano Beginner: A Glove-based Finger Training VR Application

It has been studied that playing piano can improve people's cognitive ability and intelligence level even delay the progress of brain aging because of complex and regular finger movements. In nowadays, more and more attention has been paid to finger training in children's intellectual development. In this research, we develop a virtual-reality (VR) application-Piano Beginner, which is a finger training system with auditory and visual feedback (AVFB), using data gloves. The results show independent movement recognition of each single finger and then playing music “Happy New year” with multi-fingers.
