The development of networked communication not only brings convenience to communication, but also makes feed-back controlled systems exposed to cyber-attack. In this work, we address the problem of attack identification under various attacks in discrete event systems. A sensor attacker can modify the output of the system while an actuator attack can falsify the control decisions sent from the supervisor to the plant. Both of them may be capable to mislead the system into unsafe states. Our goal is to determine whether the system is under attack based on the observation produced by the controlled system. If this is the case, we further identify what kind of attack has occurred. First, the problem of attack identification is formalized. An attack identification function is defined to determine the type of attack corresponding to a given observation. An algorithm is pro-posed to construct the behavior of the controlled system under attack, whose observer is used to compute the attack identification function. Finally, the complexity of the proposed approach is analyzed.
