The filters are typically adapted in multi-standard concerning finite impulse response filters in wireless networks. One of the most essential qualities of FIR filters is their ability to reconfigure. This study proposes two reconfigurable FIR filter topologies, Programmable Shift Method (PSM) and Constant Shift Method (CSM). The number of adders or subtractors in the coefficient multiplier employed, will determine the complexity of the linear phase FIR filters. The Common subexpression elimination (CSE) method decreases the number of adders in multipliers, enabling new filters that may be modified flexibly and more effectively. An advanced Greedy Common Subexpression method model working on Canonic Signed Digit (CSD) coefficient multiplier encoding is presented for developing less convoluted higher-order FIR filters. Filter topologies alleviate power-enhancing area and speed, as demonstrated by design examples.
