IoT (Internet of Things) can be characterized as an innovation that links numerous sensing devices, intelligent motes, and items together for setting up correspondence among them with no manual mediation. The assailant can activate version number attack with very low overhead. Using global repair approach as an insusceptible arrangement of protocol can over-burden the system of global repair mechanism. This work introduces a trust-based strategy to recognize and eliminate VNA (Version Number Attack) from IoT. This work implements the introduced strategy in NS2 simulator and examines outcomes with regard to throughput, latency, and loss of packets. The results of comparative analysis reflect that the new approach provides higher throughput while reducing latency and packet loss in comparison to the old schemes.
