Intelligentized warfare is becoming the new normal. Military communication networks based on the traditional IP paradigm can hardly meet the needs of intelligentized warfare. Software Defined Networks (SDN) paradigm decouples the control layer from the data layer, creates a global profile for network infrastructure and data traffics, which is apt to generate a more flexible and intelligent network. SDN paradigm is being introduced into military networks. Warfare is an adversarial behavior. Interference and attacks on military command and control networks are important to gain an advantage. Software Defined Military Network resiliency technology is becoming a hot research topic. To begin, the basic architecture of the SDN paradigm and its main features are summarized. Then Software Defined Military Network Resiliency concept and research topics are introduced. At last, the research direction and prospects are analyzed and summarized. At last, the research direction and opportunities are analyzed and summarized.
