Most of the people around the world do not have perfect vision and as a result, they wear glasses to correct their vision. However, many individuals are blind and require the support of blind sticks, people, or pets. The blind stick is easily broken or split and might be misplaced. Pet training is expensive, and coordinating with them may be difficult. Many technologies are available to support the blind but they do not provide complete support. To overcome these challenges, this research study proposes a wearable prototype by using various sensors interfaced to Arduino Uno board. Here, the ultrasonic and moisture sensors are used for obstacle and water detection respectively. In case of any obstacles the visually challenged user will be alerted by playing a recorded sound through headset. The proposed model has also used GPS for tracking the current location and GSM for sending messages to the user’s family in case of any trouble. As a result, visually challenged individuals no longer need to carry their sticks all the time; instead, they can just wear the developed device module.
