The history of microprocessor and personal computers were driven by computation performance with reasonable cost. The first commercial microprocessor was shown in 1971 by Intel and 4004 model ran at 740kHz with 2,300 transistors in a single chip [1]. Personal computer revolution began in 1980s from Apple and IBM and the storage was based on 2D floppy disk with optional 10MB or 20MB HDD. The performance of the microprocessor and computer goes higher and higher from calculator level to game machine. The challenges of moving data is also increasing dramatically because every industry has a need to collect, store and analyze it. For example, FICO estimates approximately 95% of auto insurers and 85% of homeowners’ insurers use credit-based insurance scores in state [2]. Rates based on your actual driving behavior instead of traditional factors like credit, age, gender, claim history and driving records. This shows how big data at work can be used and it requires tons of storage space and collecting and analyzing real world data offer new business opportunities.
