Automatic Self-calibration of Programmable Photonic Processors

In this work, we present and demonstrate a fully-automated routine to characterize the calibration curves of every phase actuator in highly-coupled programmable photonic processors. We apply and experimentally validate it to a 72-cell silicon hexagonal mesh arrangement.
