With the recent advancement in Internet of Things, healthcare applications have occupied immense attention. There are numerous advantages of Internet of Healthcare Things (IoHT) such as monitoring support, time management, drug availability management, telesurgery, patient and staff tracking, hardware availability management, remotely medical professional assistance, health-charting history, integrated care management, decreased cost, disease management, disability management, home care, and improved accuracy. In particular, the applications of IoHT have created revolutionary progress in the safety and quality of life. Irrespective of its several benefits, one of the life-critical issues in IoHT is the concern of security and privacy. The parameter of security and privacy involves the primary importance as the life of an individual can be affected and therefore requires a thorough evaluation. In this chapter, an extensive overview of the security and privacy issues is presented such as data privacy, medjacking, communication overheads, spamming, unauthorized access control, location privacy, and eavesdropping. Furthermore, a review on the recent security attacks, countermeasures, and future research directions in IoHT is formulated. Additionally, a security architecture based on trust assessment for IoHT systems to enhance the security of the network is also proposed.
