Optimal tracking performance of communication‐constrained systems under energy constraints

Abstract This paper investigates the optimal tracking performance of systems by considering packet dropouts, additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN), and coding under energy constraints. The optimal tracking performance of communication‐constrained systems is obtained by spectral decomposition and partial factorization. The results show that the optimal tracking performance of the system is related to intrinsic properties such as non‐minimum phase zeros and unstable poles. What's more, encoding, data loss rate, and AWGN are also able to affect the performance of the system. Finally, the correctness of the results is verified by specific examples.
