The current technological improvements of IoT devices result in a significant volume of data being generated. Traditional cloud-based systems store all data in a geographically centralized way; however, they frequently encounter challenges including storage, bandwidth requirements, high energy efficiency, and failure to maintain privacy protections. Thus, a different approach to overcoming these constraints is fog computing. Fog computing has become quite important since it quickly supplies consumers with some real-time services. Rather than delivering all raw data to a central server, it will send it to the edges of user application devices, where it will be processed locally, reducing bandwidth and ensuring data privacy. Understanding the fundamental requirements and the overall structure of the fog environment is the main goal of this effort. Maintaining confidentiality is the main challenge that fog computing environments face. This research study attempts to provide a thorough review of the positions that have been adopted in line with scholarly research to achieve a total secrecy in fog environment.
