ANALYSING THE WEB LOG FILES TO DISCOVER USER PATTERN USING MACHINE LEARNING ALGORITHMS

There is a tremendous amount of data available over the World Wide Web in the form of web documents, and that amount is growing daily.The purpose of web mining is to extract useful information from web documents.There are three types of web mining: web content mining, web structure mining, and web usage mining.Web usage mining involves mining web log data from the World Wide Web to extract useful information.It is useful for applications such as e-commerce, terrorism, fraud detection, identifying criminal activities, web design, etc. Web Usage Mining applications and tools will be explained in detail in this paper.
