Cybersecurity is treated by the CIA triad, used as an accepted generalized framework with its components consisting of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Many authors who treat cybersecurity in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), replace the components of CIA triad with other attributes or require other security components such as networks. The aim of this research is focused on proving if these approaches are necessary at WSNs. To prove this, a literature review is conducted at the related works of the topic by searching the keywords at the well-known publishers such as IEEE, Springer, and Elsevier as well as institutions that supply with cybersecurity frameworks, all published within the last five years. The processed information shows a comprehensive review of cybersecurity perspective which proves that the CIA triad is the sufficient framework about cybersecurity also for the WSN s. The paper explores this information by supplying data from related research where the findings are summarized, discussed, and concluded.
