Smart Fencing System is a system to protect farming lands and dwelling areas where trespassing of animals is a major issue. In this project a camera is placed where there is frequent wandering of animals and motion sensors (IR) are placed around the fence. In the proposed system images of different animals will be stored as a database. Image recognition is performed using OpenCV. When there is a detection of motion around the fence, the animal is encountered on camera and the image captured on camera is compared with that of the image in the database and if it matches, a buzzer is given, and a message is sent to the user’s mobile phone. A buzzer is made to ring which deters the animals from gaining access into the dwelling areas/agricultural fields. This project has a major advantage for humans and other living beings as buzzer is produced only when the wild animals that can harm the crops as well as humans tries to trespass the electric fence.
