The Performance of Single-Image Super-Resolution Algorithm: EDSR

Single-Image Super-Resolution (SISR) is a technology to enhance the resolution of images. This paper discusses the performance of EDSR, one of the best SISR algorithms, under different conditions. B100, Set14, Urban100, Pixiv Top Daily Illustration 2018 and Art Images: Drawing/Painting/Sculptures/Engravings are imported as experiment datasets. According to the analysis, results are evaluated with SSIM and PSNR index. This research widens the knowledge of the performance of SISR method, EDSR in particular, under different circumstances. These results shed light on guiding further exploration for SISR.
