Interaction with Python

Python scripts are nothing more than text files that can be modified using any text editor. To input/output data to/from the system, each language has its own construct. Understanding input/output statements in a Python program will assist us in providing input to a Python program and receiving output from a Python program after execution. We need a name that stores certain types of data in order to save some value. These are just reserved memory spaces for storing values. The interpreter allocates memory and chooses what can be put in reserved memory based on the datatype of a variable. Datatypes determine whether an object can accomplish a task or if doing so would be irrational. Other programming languages frequently determine whether an operation is suitable for an object by ensuring that the object can never be stored in a location where the operation will be performed (this is called static typing). Python does not function in this way. Instead, it keeps an object’s type with the object and determines whether the operation is appropriate for that object when it is executed (this is called dynamic typing). In this chapter, we’ll discuss variables and constants, datatypes, how to input and get output from the program, know different string and number formatting statements, and how to comment a statement and write a simple program.
