We describe the implementation of a new clinical laboratory dedicated to clinical and translational research testing and consented bio-repository collection at MGH by creating a new lab entity in our existing enterprise clinical LIS (Sunquest Lab).The new information system replaced an antiquated and poorly supported LIMS.
