Collaboration between nurses practicing in rural hospitals and those in tertiary settings is the key to a successful Remote Cardiac Monitoring (RCM) project. Survival and growth of the system depends upon a clear understanding of the system, mutual respect for the nurses' roles in the rural and tertiary centers, education, and communication.
