Numerical Investigation of Short Pulse Propagation in a Semiconductor Optical Amplifier for Application to Optical Reservoir Computing

The propagations of three similar pulses through a gain-saturated SOA were numerically investigated. They showed large difference in power waveforms at the output of SOA. The results imply its possibility of application to reservoir computing.
