We study the problem of how to realize quality-of-service (QoS) aware reconfiguration of virtual network function service trees (vNF-STs) over the heterogeneous network function virtualization (NFV) platforms that include virtual machines (VMs), docker containers, and programmable data plane switches (PDP-SWs), and propose an effective heuristic algorithm.
