In this ongoing era of automation and artificially working with intelligence, the two mostly discussed and expeditiously rising area for the research are the blockchain and the Internet of Things (IoT), which helps in securing data and makes them accessible over the Internet. The workings of IoT are to facilitate the user to access the gadgets in order to exchange the necessary required information. Every block that is present in the chain will link with the previous block present in the chain by the help of hashes of the preceding block of the chain. Blockchain is about to revolutionize every area of digital commerce. This chapter will provide the concept of technological features of IoT. As we know, the working on the IoT is no longer only an idea in this ongoing era. It is the one of the requirement of time in daily living. The “smartphone” is the most well-known IoT operations in everyday life. That helps in transferring many types of data across many different applications and hardware. The IoT is not just for smart homes. It includes everything from industry and commerce to agriculture, public safety, and health care. Due to the vast range of the daily real-life utilizations of the IoT, it will also include the technological concepts that will describe what blockchain is, it will explain what blockchain allows, as well as its benefits and potential difficulties to think about further. It also gives an example of a blockchain-based application and discusses regulatory and governance issues.
