Intelligent Classification System for Recyclables based on Image and Acoustic Processing

It is of great significance to classify garbage through deep learning and image processing technology to realize garbage recycling and resource reuse. We propose a garbage classification system based on improved Faster R-CNN with audio-visual combination to achieve higher classification accuracy. We have introduced a new deep learning based system to effectively combine image and sound features for garbage classification. Based on this model, we implement an automatic garbage classification program with a graphical interface. We tried to add transparency and audio features for garbage sorting. The result shows that our method has high recognition accuracy.
