We analyze the influence of the introduction of detector noise, as proposed by Kumar et al. [J. Opt. Soc. Am. A , 9, 405 (1992)] on the optimal trade-off filters for noise robustness, optical efficiency, and sharpness of the correlation peak that were introduced by R6fr6gier [Opt. Lett. 16, 829 (1991)].
