Tcl Data Structure

The basic data structure of Tool command language (Tcl) is a string and two higher levels of data structure are the list and array. The string is a combination of alphanumeric character numbers or Boolean variables. The nesting feature of the string command enables mixing of more than one command and executes the command focused on the initial string. A Tcl list is an ordered string. It differs from a list in that the list elements are separated by whitespace. The set command is used to declare a list and grouping of elements requires double quotes and curly braces. A Tcl array is the most systematic way to arrange a group of elements using indices. Each element of an array has a user-defined index. The array can be internally implemented with a hash table. An array command accesses the array element and returns information about the array elements through iteration.
