Automatic Scansion of Sanskrit Poetry for Authorship Criteria

The article describes the development of a program, written in SNOBOL4, which will scan Sanskrit verse. The resulting patterns of syllables, word breaks, etc., are then analyzed by a second set of programs and a possible authorship test is suggested.
