In Chapter 2 , I introduced IoT technology and the impacts it is having on development and test teams. In this chapter, I will dig deeper into IoT test planning, specific testing risks, and impacts on testers. Any new technology entering the technology curve encounters various problems in development. Some problems will be new to the IoT space, while others may be familiar from other software technologies. IoT companies and testers should start by understanding as many of these problems and solutions as possible because those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat the historical lesson.
