The previous chapter introduced lessons learned in test planning and V&V, so this chapter defines the detailed factors that a project working on IoT should consider in their planning efforts. As shown in Figure 4-1, four factors combine to create a decision matrix for planning purposes. This chapter explains each factor quantitatively and defines IoT test planning levels. One way to start planning is to determine a factor score based on integrity levels, product maturity, organizational (Org) development (Dev) ability, project size, and the other factors defined in this chapter. This scoring can be used numerically as outlined in this chapter or as guidance using each factor taken together.
