Driver’s Output Impedance Correction Approach Using CCCS

Vardanyan Hayk · 2022 International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Energy Technologies (ICECET) · 2022

In modern ICs the output impedance of transmitter (TX) driver becomes smaller and smaller. So, it becomes an important task for any schematic designer to match that output impedance with the input impedance of receiver (RX). This problem is the most visible when the manufacturer uses TX and RX from different vendors. To exclude any impedance mismatch between TX and RX it is proposed to use different approach to adjust the output impedance of TX driver. This approach uses current controlled current source (CCCS), which gives the user an opportunity to get any desired output impedance on the output of the TX, which will exclude any impedance mismatch issues.
