The issues of image formation in the technical vision system are considered, the sources of primary information in which are video cameras installed in such a way that each controlled area is located in the field of view of two cameras. Modeled and researched results of applying different panning algorithms at different angles tilt of video cameras relative to the vertical axis. The process of railway rolling stock moving through a station or sorting hill is selected as the object of observation. The results of the experiment were compared according to such criteria as speed (task completion time) and quality of the resulting image (estimates of the deviation of the obtained result from the standard).
