The estimation of direction of arrival (DOA) is of fundamental importance to a variety of applications such as channel estimation, tracking, and indoor positioning. The parabolic equation (PE) method has been widely applied to model radio wave propagation in large-scale propagation scenarios (e.g., tunnels, sea surfaces, indoor environments). However, there is a lack of research on the performance of PE-based channel models for DOA estimation. In this paper, the multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm is utilized to obtain the DOA information from signals generated using PE-based channel models, and the performance is investigated in an indoor corridor.
