Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women in the world and in Turkey. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the internet network on raising awareness about breast cancer screening programme. The research was carried out semi-experimental through a social network established with non-health-related student. The e-brochure developed by the researchers was used as an initiative. A pre-test, e-brochure was sent through the created social network, and a post-test was applied one month later. As a data collection form; were used to question the descriptive features, knowledge and practice of breast cancer and screening programme. The research was concluded with 428 people. Data SPSS 25.0 package program; analysed using student-t test, ANOVA and chi-square. The students are between the ages of 20-28 and it was seen that one in twenty had knowledge about breast cancer. It was determined that the students who previously had knowledge about early diagnosis did not have knowledge about the frequency of application and how to apply it. Half of the students stated that they should do breast self-exams. After the training, it was observed that the knowledge about both breast cancer screening programme and application frequency times changed significantly. Breast cancer screening programme is a topic that is frequently found in social networks. It is seen that benefiting from social power in raising public awareness creates meaningful results. In this respect, the results of the research serve as a reference for other awareness studies.
