Research on Head Object Detection Algorithm in Classroom Scene

Teaching quality has always been the focus in the field of education. Computer vision is used to analyze the students' part of the classroom video, detect the students' heads, and provide data support for classroom evaluation such as attendance and classroom attractiveness. In this paper, a one-stage head detection network is built with FPN and PAN structure. This paper designed an improved method of NMS, HIoU NMS. It is designed for classroom teaching scenes to optimize the problem of missing detection caused by occlusion in classroom scenes, and accurately detect the heads of middle school students in the classroom.
