In Chapter 8 , I looked at planning the software test environment and facilities. However, besides test planning, testers should understand and support many more IoT project planning activities, including software and system development. In this chapter, I provide a quick overview of how to do IoT system planning. This chapter addresses top-level system engineering activities, engineering interface/integration, various support processes, architecture considerations, trade studies, and impacts from other development approaches.
