Shikha Mehta, Sanju Mishra Tiwari, Patrick Siarry, M.A. Jabbar · 2022

This chapter discusses how techniques and information gathering methodologies from other testing areas can be added to dynamic testing and how they can increase the power of dynamic testing or analysis by aiding or fusing the dynamic testing with another type of testing such as static analysis and utilizing the power of one to benefit the other. These techniques include the use of static analysis with dynamic testing to increase the coverage of dynamic analysis, use of Tainted Mode Model to surplus the dynamic testing, and use of user session data to generate test cases that are effective in finding vulnerabilities in Web Application at run time by using dynamic testing. Dynamic Application Security Testing using user session is a technique that uses the- data that are generated by the user when they interact with the Web Application.
